Dallas-Forth Worth International Airport wins InnoLead Impact Award with its digital airport concierge

Soul Machines is proud to see Dallas-Forth Worth International Airport become a winner of this year’s InnoLead Impact Awards for creating and deploying the world’s first digital concierge in an airport, Iris, which helps passengers with travel and airport information.

InnoLead created the Impact Awards in 2018 to celebrate the people and teams inside large, established organizations who were creating quantifiable value through innovative and experimental projects.

Completely touchless, Digital Iris elevates the customer experience with voice-controlled, on-demand answers to questions in a way similar to how passengers would naturally interact with a human airport representative. Iris’ likeness and animation were created by Soul Machines and its speech and artificial intelligence were built using IBM’s Watson Assistant technology with the guidance and feedback from DFW’s teams.
